We Make It Easy To Go Green!

Eco Friendly Printing For The Same Low Price!

We do our part to help reduce pollution; we print all of our jobs using soy and vegetable inks and we use Zero VOC solvents. We also recycle all of our paper waste, used plates, waste inks and solvents.

We can do even more by printing on 'green paper', but we need you to ask. Our 'green paper' is 10% post consumer waste and 30% recycled quality goodness and we give it to you for free.

So go to our Pricing Calculator and select the paper with Go Green in the name to participate in Eco-friendly printing.

  • Paper Options:

Our full color CD Insert printing is is only available on our 100# Gloss text stock. Don't forget that you can upgrade to our Eco-friendly Go Green stocks for no extra cost. They are available in the same thicknesses and weights as our house stock and possess the same quality feel and color.

Quick tips: What does the "weight" of the paper mean?

The weight of paper is represented by the standard US pound (#) and is determined as the weight of 500 sheets of 25"x38" text paper. That means if you take 500 sheets of "paper A" that are 25"x38" in size and you weight them to get 70 pounds, that paper is 70# no matter how small it is cut afterwards; if you do the same with "paper B" and it weights 100 pounds, that paper is 100# no matter how small it is cut afterwards.

Simply, this means that the thicker or heavier the paper is, the stiffer and thicker it will be. Sometimes thicker is better, sometimes it's not. Decide according to your needs.

Quick tips: What is the difference between "text stock" and "cover stock"?

Text stock tends to be a bit lighter than cover stock. If you hold a 100# uncoated cover stock and a 100# uncoated text stock, you will notice that the cover stock is stiffer and thicker than the text stock. Text stock is more like the pages you would find inside of a magazine and cover stock is more like something that would be a cover to a magazine.

  • Coating Options:

Our full color CD Insert printing printing is coated with Semi-Gloss AQ coating on both sides, on either our house paper or Go Green paper.

Quick tips: What is "AQ coating"?

AQ Coating is an abbreviation for "Aqueous Coating," which is a clear water based coating that is applied to the paper after it is printed to enhance and protect the printing underneath. AQ coatings provide a light luster to the printed product, it speeds up the dry times, minimizes finger prints and adds some scuff protection. AQ coatings should not be applied to mailing sides of postcards or surfaces that need to be written on.

  • Folding Options:

Our full color CD Inserts that are one-panel are not folded; they are simply cut into shape. Our two-panel CD Inserts are folded in half and the three-panel CD Inserts are tri-fold. If you had something different in mind for your CD packaging needs, feel free to use our Specialty Printing Request Form to let us know what you're looking for, and we'll take care of it.

  • Turnaround Time:

Turnaround time varies by paper selection, finishing selection and other variables which are relative to printing. Depending on what options you select, our Pricing Calculator will adjust to show you the available turnaround times available for the product you are selecting. Projects which are custom and do not use the pricing calculator, turnaround times will be specified on the quote.

    More about Turnaround time:

Turnaround time begins after final approval of the proof. Below is a hypothetical situation to explain how our turnaround time works.

This scenario involves an item that requires a 2-3 day turnaround time. If the order is placed and the design files are submitted before 11:00 AM EST on a Monday, we will process your files and send you a proof within a couple of hours. If the proof is approved before 4:00 PM EST on Monday, then your job will go to press and be ready to ship by the end of the day on Wednesday or Thursday.

If in the above scenario the proofs were not approved by 4:00 PM EST on Monday and instead were approved the following day before 4:00 PM EST, then the project would go to press at that time and be ready to ship by the end of the day on Thursday or Friday.

Note: Turnaround time begins after final approval of proof.
