Paper Options:
Our full color Club Flyer printing is available on three standard stocks. The heaviest stocks are our 16-point and 14-point C2S Glossy cover stocks. You can use them interchangeably because we don't charge you extra for picking either one. Full color Club Flyers are also available on 100# Uncoated cover stock. Don't forget that you can upgrade to our Eco-friendly Go Green stocks for no extra cost. They are available in the same thicknesses and weights as our house stock and possess the same quality feel and color.
Quick tips:
What does the "point size" and the "weight" mean?
The point size describes the thickness of the paper in thousandths of an inch. That means 14-point stock would 0.014" thick, 16-point stock would be 0.016" thick.
The weight of paper is represented by the standard US pound (#) and is determined as the weight of 500 sheets of 20"x26"** paper. That means if you take 500 sheets of "paper A" that are 20"x26" in size and you weight them to get 70 pounds, that paper is 70# no matter how small it is cut afterwards; if you do the same with "paper B" and it weights 100 pounds, that paper is 100# no matter how small it is cut afterwards.
**for text stock, paper size is 25"x38"
Simply, this means that the thicker or heavier the paper is, the stiffer and thicker it will be. Sometimes thicker is better, sometimes it's not. Decide according to your needs.
Coating Options:
Our full color Club Flyer printing also features several coating options. The paper options with uncoated in their name, cannot have any coating applied to them. Our 14-point C2S Glossy cover stock, house paper or Go Green paper, can be coated with Semi-Gloss AQ Coating on the front side or with High-Gloss UV Coating on the front only or front and back. Our 16-point C2S Glossy cover stock, house paper or Go Green paper, can be coated with Matte Satin AQ Coating on both sides or with High Gloss UV Coating on the front only or front and back.
Quick tips:
What is "AQ coating" and "UV coating"?
AQ Coating is an abbreviation for "Aqueous Coating," which is a clear water based coating that is applied to the paper after it is printed to enhance and protect the printing underneath. AQ coatings provide a light luster to the printed product, it speeds up the dry times, minimizes finger prints and adds some scuff protection. AQ coatings should not be applied to mailing sides of postcards or surfaces that need to be written on.
UV Coating is an abbreviation for "Ultra-Violet Coating," which is a clear, liquid coating that is applied to the paper after it is printed then bonded and cured with ultraviolet light. UV coatings are thicker than AQ coatings and provide an attractive high-gloss appearance to the paper. UV coatings should in no way be applied to mailing sides of postcards or surfaces that need to be written on.
Turnaround Time:
Turnaround time varies by paper selection, finishing selection and other variables which are relative to printing. Depending on what options you select, our Pricing Calculator will adjust to show you the available turnaround times available for the product you are selecting. Projects which are custom and do not use the pricing calculator, turnaround times will be specified on the quote.
More about Turnaround time:
Turnaround time begins after final approval of the proof. Below is a hypothetical situation to explain how our turnaround time works.
This scenario involves an item that requires a 2-3 day turnaround time. If the order is placed and the design files are submitted before 11:00 AM EST on a Monday, we will process your files and send you a proof within a couple of hours. If the proof is approved before 4:00 PM EST on Monday, then your job will go to press and be ready to ship by the end of the day on Wednesday or Thursday.
If in the above scenario the proofs were not approved by 4:00 PM EST on Monday and instead were approved the following day before 4:00 PM EST, then the project would go to press at that time and be ready to ship by the end of the day on Thursday or Friday.
Note: Turnaround time begins after final approval of proof.
